The DX10 nature of Just Cause 2 enables us to show the results of the various chip when using either the discrete GTX 680 or with integrated graphics.

Any reasonable CPU provides adequate underlying horsepower for the GTX 680 to strut its stuff. Moving on to integrated graphics, no IGP is able to muster anything resembling solid frame-rates at our 1,920x1,080 (high-quality) settings.

And the same is true in DX11-totin' Batman: Arkham City, too.

1080p settings are manifestly unfair on IGPs. Running the Just Cause 2 test again with low/medium-quality settings at a 1,280x720 resolution provides a better indication of how the CPUs' graphics cope with casual gaming. The HD 4000 Graphics in the 3570K return a result that nigh-on identical to the 3770K's and some 60 per cent better than the 2500K's. Importantly, it makes the game feel relatively smooth in comparison to the 2500K's juddery performance.

AMD's A8-3870K, also known as Llano, has better real-world graphics performance than Intel's 3570K.
