Benchmarks: Temperature
With a Core i7-5700HQ CPU and two GeForce GTX 965M GPUs, you might have expected the Aorus X5 to melt in the summer months. Not quite. Sure, it gets warm and you'd find it uncomfortable using it on your lap for any lengthy period of time, but the temperatures are well within the limits for a machine of this ilk.
Given the temps, we wish Aorus had adopted a gentler default fan profile in order to reduce overall noise. Fan speed can of course be adjusted manually using the bundled software utility, but a smoother out-the-box fan curve wouldn't go amiss.
