Putting all the components into perspective, it's no surprise to see Aorus's 15.6in machine sailing past the 4,000-point barrier in PCMark. Put simply, we've never seen a 15.6in laptop as quick as this, and the X5's gaming credentials are shaping up nicely, too. A 3DMark score of 7,870 isn't far off the 17.3in GTX 980M-powered Gigabyte P37X.

Providing a look at real-world gameplay, we've benchmarked a couple of titles with varying degrees of image quality at both 1080p and the laptop's native 3K resolution. The dual GTX 965M GPUs have no problem churning out in excess of 60 frames per second at 1080p with all the eye candy enabled, and to our pleasant surprise, they also do a reasonable job at 3K.

To see how well today's latest games fare, we ran GTA V with high-quality textures and 4xMSAA and managed to average 61 frames per second at 1080p, while upping the resolution to 3K returned a respectable 32 fps. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, one of the most visually-stunning games to date, ran at 48 fps and 27 fps at 1080p and 4K resolutions, respectively - that's with graphics and post-processing set to their high presets.

Playing high-quality titles is the X5's primary ambition, and the combination of 3K detail and G-Sync fluidity make for a compelling experience. On a laptop, games have never looked so good.
