Presentation and Bundle

The board we received actually arrived as part of the GA-K8NXP-SLI packaging - Indeed, this is how many of you may well get hold of your 3D1 boards, as it seems that Gigabyte will be bundling this motherboard and video card combination together as part of a single package. Thus, you can see the box art for the GA-K8NXP-SLI below.

The Gigabyte 3D1 is bundled with all the essentials - The board itself, video out breakout box, an adapter cable for the six pin PCI Express video power connector, a DVI to VGA adapter and a driver disc. The driver disc supplied to us wasn't a final one, hence its omission from the image below.

The card also comes bundled with two full games, in the form of Joint Operations - Typhoon Rising and, perhaps more impressively, Thief: Deadly Shadows on DVD. Not a title I've played myself, but its reputation precedes it.

No manual was supplied with our sample, which is hopefully something which will change with final boards. Sure, installing a video card isn't rocket science, but there should be some kind of reference guide for the less experienced among us.
