Gigabyte GA-K8NXP-SLI

As I mentioned on the previous page, the 3D1 requires Gigabyte's own GA-K8NXP-SLI motherboard to operate, and thus we were also provided with such a board to test the card. We'll be reviewing this nForce4 SLI-based motherboard in its own right shortly, but for now here's a pictorial sneak peek of what it has to offer.

A cursory glance at the board should give you some idea of how feature rich it is, particularly in the storage arena - Just take a look at the eight Serial ATA ports as evidence of that. The board also features dual network adapters and up to ten USB 2.0 ports. On top of that, this board also ships with a PCI 802.11g wireless LAN adapter to round out the package.

As the product name would suggest, SLI functionality is the order of the day, and here we can see the continuity connector to allow selection between normal and SLI operation of the motherboard.

In case you were in any doubt as to the board's manufacturer, we have a nice, shiny north bridge heatsink and fan to remind you.

As with other Gigabyte boards, the GA-K8NXP-SLI includes DPS (Dual Power System) technology, providing clean, stable power to the system. Keep your eyes peeled for a full review of this board here at HEXUS soon.
