Overclocking

There's extra frequency headroom available to those willing to tinker. Without adding any extra voltage, we were able to up core and boost frequencies to 1,706MHz and 1,922MHz, respectively, whilst memory happily ran at an effective 9,248MHz.

An easy overclock to achieve and the result is a performance increase of around 10 per cent. That's enough for the GTX 1060 Gaming X to leapfrog the GTX 980 Gaming 4G in the 3DMark test.
