Overclocking

We had to use AMD's own OverDrive application to overclock the card - our usual collection of utilities failed to recognise the GPU. That said, the sample overclocked well, jumping up to 1,180MHz core and an effective 6,400MHz memory. The overclocked numbers are reasonably close to the kind of figures achieved by Radeon HD 7950 cards.

Putting clear daylight into the other cards, as expected, performance at 1600p turns from reasonable to good. Bear in mind that system-wide power consumption jumps to 290W and noise levels increase to an annoying 44.3dB.
