Final thoughts and rating
The Radeon HD 7750 is a GPU that appears to have been too easily forgotten. Put it in a single-slot form factor, or make it completely silent, and it's a graphics card that becomes far more appealing.
It won't offer the gaming thrills of its 7000-series counterparts, but a bus-powered design, compact PCB and low power-draw characteristics make it a neat fit in HTPC or small-form-factor environments.
For that aim, both reviewed cards show promise. VTX3D's option is among the cheapest HD 7750s available today, and the tidy single-slot design enables wide compatibility while maintaining low temperatures and modest performance.
Sapphire's HD 7750 is a more ambitious attempt and it's one that will attract a select audience. The card is silent at all times - and that may be all that's required to catch the eye of quiet-computing aficionados - but it's presented in a bulky design that may not meet the requirements of certain HTPC enclosures.
We'd like to see a passive Radeon HD 7750 that's smaller in size, but as it stands, both of these cards should be considered for use in a low-power, media-orientated build.
