Praised both by critics and gamers, the latest instalment of the Total War series takes strategy enthusiasts back to 16th-century Japan and presents a lavish blend of 3D real-time battles and turn-based management.

GTX 680 is
1,920x1,080 2,560x1,600 5,760x1,080
18.3% 14.0% 11.0%

The Radeon steadily encroaches on the GTX 680's lead in the Shogun test. 5,760x1,080 numbers are more for reference than real-world use; they're too low to play the game with any kind of smoothness.

Zooming into the framerates also shows how close the two cards are in overall three-screen performance. The Radeon, however, is consistently around 5fps behind - which is very telling at this resolution - during the first half of the test. The gap narrows towards the end.
