The 28nm Cape Verde GPU has excellent power-draw characteristics, but by upping the voltage a touch and applying a healthy overclock, Sapphire's card negates some of those benefits.
The 7770 OC isn't quite as efficient as a reference card when gaming, but it's clearly less hungry than a Radeon HD 6870 or GeForce GTX 560.
