Overclocking

Dual-GPU solutions tend not to have a lot of wiggle room, and the Radeon HD 6870 X2 is no exception. We struggled to significantly raise the speed of our sample at the stock 1.174 voltage, but by upping that to 1.25V, we were able to add an extra 50MHz to the core and maintain stability with memory running at an effective 4,400MHz. As depicted by the graphs below, the overclock provides a mild bump in performance.
