Interested to see how far the beastly cooling enabled the GTX 1080 to go? We were. The sample managed 1,840MHz core and 11,400MHz memory, representing the best air-cooled performance we have seen to date.

You don't actually get that much more out of it, primarily because the boost speed doesn't rise by a great deal - the card ran at 2,030MHz (instead of 1,949MHz) during our overclocked benchmarks.
