Gaming performance with IGP

AMD will rightly argue that the A10-7860K's prowess, when compared to Intel's equivalent offering, is better graphics - their provenance is from discrete GPUs, after all.

Running the same 3DMark shows AMD's Radeon R7 to have a 50 per cent-plus lead over the HD 530 in the Skylake chip.

The real question isn't whether the AMD graphics is faster, it's whether they are capable enough to play some of today's hottest games at an acceptable resolution? Turning The Division down to low isn't enough to maintain an average 30fps frame rate, however.

And while the Radeon R7 is practically twice as fast as the HD 530, it's no match for a proper discrete card.

Good for basic gaming but not potent enough to deliver compelling frame rates in today's top games.
