As we have already mentioned in previews reviews, Ryzen 7 gaming performance is bit of a mixed bag. Running GPU-bound games, such as Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, hides the current truth that having SMT enabled is causing sub-par performance in other games.
For example, switch it off and Hitman and Total War's scores rise to 93.2fps and 82fps, respectively, thus within touching distance of Intel. We hope AMD is able to sort out these scheduling problems sooner rather than later, as Ryzen 7 needs to be an all-round chip.
