PocketPC and Mobile Phones

ASUS are long time supporters of the PocketPC design ethos and operating system. At Computex they're showing off a few devices. Here's one each of their new PocketPC, Mobile Smartphone and mobile telephone products.

Mypal

The Mypal A730 uses an Intel PXA270 520MHz CPU, Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition, 64MB of RAM and ROM, Compact Flash Type II and SD slots, 1.3Mpixel digital camera, Bluetooth and 640x480 VGA LCD screen, all in a mere 170g package.

P505

The P505 is a PocketPC Smartphone with a 320x240 touch screen, SD slot with SDIO capability, USB port, 64MB of RAM and another 64MB of ROM for the operating system.

J101

The J101 is a Samsung-esque clamshell mobile phone with dual displays. The inner LCD is a 1.8 inch 128x160 display, the outer a 1.1 inch 96x96 display. Each is capable of 262,000 colours, there's a camera built in, it runs for 150 hours on a single charge and weighs only 78g.
