Due for release in December this year, Battlefield 3's Back to Karkand DLC will bring enhanced destruction, weapons and additional vehicles to DICE's phenomenally popular first-person shooter.

The DLC adds four new maps, Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula. There are also 10 new weapons to get your hands-on and three new vehicles, including an F35B fighter jet! We'll also see the return of Conquest Assault mode.

Back to Karkand will set you back £11.99/1200 MSP unless you're one of those with Battlefield 3 Limited Edition; then it's absolutely free!

Looking forward to this! Can't believe how much they want for it though - Just glad I have the limited edition (And only paid £17 for it).

I got the LE version too - and am now glad I paid the extra for it. Good thing I followed the advice on this site. :)

Game itself is pretty good, and I figure this pack'll only make it better. Had a couple of glitches with it (e.g. folks walking through walls, action stopping because I wasn't in the right place), but I'll forgive it those foibles.

If today's MW3 delivery is as good then I'm set for winter …
