Ignoring the typical 'it works or it doesn't' approach taken by most Android apps when it comes to cross-device and cross OS-compatibility, Sky has been limiting its Sky Go internet TV streaming app to a select few Android handsets.
Making matters worse, until now, the firm hasn't supported Google's Android 4.0 'Ice Cream Sandwich' OS. This has meant that even for certified/supported devices, users who have taken the initiative to upgrade to the latest OS would have lost the ability to use Sky Go on their handsets. Likewise, new handsets launching with Android 4.0 from the outset were left wanting.
