Benchmarks: CPU

Our first benchmark - Cinebench - concentrates on the multi-core performance of each system's CPU and it positions the 3XS Performance GTX as second to last.

Cause for concern? Not at all, as it's important to remember that all of the above systems feature mighty-fast processors. The scale, really, goes from a fast Core i5-2500K at 4.2GHz in the Chillblast Fusion Whisper Mini to a stupendously-fast Core i7-3930K at 4.5GHz in Scan's premium 3XS Velocity SLI.

Geekbench assesses combined CPU and memory performance, and it tells us more of the same. As far as the Core i5 processor is concerned, it's fast but clearly not the quickest solution on the market. If you're willing to pay the premium, systems armed with an Intel Sandy Bridge Extreme processor are a step up in terms of raw CPU performance.
