There's not much wrong with the BX100's speed as it pertains to sequential throughput, particularly reading. The write speed is the first indication we're not looking at a premium drive.

The Silicon Image controller isn't as refined as the Marvell or Phison for write-intensive tasks, leading to a reasonable fall in throughput for the PCMark tests.
