Benchmarks: Storage
Storage has been tested three ways. First, a 512GB OCZ RD400 NVMe drive is benchmarked via the M.2 slot. Secondly, a 512GB SK hynix Canvas SC300 SSD is benchmarked via SATA 6Gbps, and finally, an identical SK hynix SSD is tested via an external USB caddy.
Sadly, our, as it turns out, not-so-trusty USB 3.1 caddy failed after just weeks of use, and the USB benchmarks have subsequently been measured via USB 3.0. There's not a lot in it in all three tests, with the MSI just nudging ahead.
