The Vidpin Mod

Find a suitable wire.

Cut the wire into short lengths.

Using a pair of tweezers, pick up the wire and make it into a horseshoe shape.

Insert the horseshoe wire into the socket as shown. Basically it links across two of the pin holes thus connecting / bridging the pins of the CPU.

Linking pins 1&2 will give a default of 1.7v. If you link 1&2 + 2&3 you get 1.8v or for the full Monty 1&2 + 2&3 + 3&4 gives 1.825v. Getting 2 wires into the same hole can prove difficult, but is possible. The wires must be thin enough to allow the pins of the CPU to still get into the socket and great care needs to be taken when putting the CPU in.
