Overclocking

We've already discovered that GP107 has plenty of frequency headroom, so it's no surprise to find that the GTX 1050 can comfortably go beyond what's written on the box. With no added voltage we were able to ramp-up base and boost clocks to 1,685MHz and 1,771MHz, respectively, while memory didn't quibble when asked to operate at an effective 8Gbps.

Our logs reveal that the EVGA card was frequently boosting beyond 1,900MHz with the overclock in place, and the extra speed helps close the gap on GTX 1050 Ti.
