Overclocking
How high can our review sample go without introducing extra voltage? We were quickly and easily able to bump core and boost frequencies to 1,685MHz and 1,887MHz, respectively, while the 8GB of GDDR5 memory happily skipped along at an effective 9,400MHz.
The extra memory bandwidth clearly helps as we're able to eke out a performance gain of around 10 per cent. With that in mind, it's a surprise that many partners choose to ship custom cards with stock-clocked memory.
