The GeForce GTX 1060 6GB is an interesting GPU because it is tasked at supporting the upper mainstream graphics card market that is currently populated by a mix of GeForce GTX 970 and GTX 980 cards.

Replacing a gaggle of older technology that has made Nvidia some serious coin with a more power efficient, leaner and forward-looking GPU is the GTX 1060's main remit.
