Introduced as the fifth major entry in the series, Fallout 4 takes place in post-apocalyptic Boston in the year 2287, 210 years after a Nuclear war. Not the most uplifting environment, but there are plenty of open environments to explore and the visuals, especially on PC, are at times dazzling.
You won't see the GTX 1070 scale to the same performance levels as GTX 1080, even if massively overclocked, because it misses out on too much shading goodness and memory bandwidth.
We tend to benchmark with the highest quality settings available in each game. Lessen AA at 4K, for example, and the frame rate gets closer to that magical 60fps.
