Power, Temperature and Noise

This is where the Radeon doesn't do as well. Obtaining the same in-game performance requires an extra 70W of system-wide power.

It's testament to the great cooling on the PCS+ that it's able to maintain 70°C under the cosh. The idle temperature is high because the fans do turn off at low loads.

The cooler is never what we consider outright loud, and it's quieter than the previous generation by a reasonable degree. The noise emitted by the system is consistent over time, however, so it's not as bad as it looks on first glance.
