Overclocking
Overclocking is another item to add to the list of reasons to consider a GTX 970. The GPU tends to have ample headroom, and the impact of any overclock can be keenly felt in some games. With no added voltage we were quickly able to increase boost clock to 1,442MHz (an 11 per cent hike) and memory didn't quibble when set to an effective 8,000MHz.
That's a quick and easy way of squeezing more out of the GPU. In-game performance in Grand Theft Auto V and The Witcher 3 is increased by over 10 per cent.
