Overclocking

The watercooled Fury X card showed mediocre signs of overclocking, running from the standard peak 1,050MHz to 1,140MHz. Given the nature of HBM memory for the first generation, there was no overclocking available on that front.

Sapphire's Fury Tri-X OC does just as well, helped by that massive cooler. The core runs at up to Fury X-matching 1,140MHz.

The close proximity of results enables the overclocked OC card to leapfrog a bunch of others.

Want another 10 per cent performance the easy way? Dabble in a bit of overclocking.

Power consumption jumped to 363W, noise to 42.2dB and temperature to 82°C, however.
