Total War: Rome II

Providing an excellent mix of strategy and action, Total War: Rome II's epic turn-based gameplay can swallow hours of your life. Our 45-second benchmark uses the built-in Ultra preset across all resolutions.

These single-GPU cards can all muster powerful performance at resolutions on common monitors. They only become semi-unstuck at 4K, which is a domain for something like the GeForce GTX Titan X.

The game's loading screen provides a good test for discerning coil whine. EVGA's sample GTX 970 SSC produced enough to be heard but below the average of what we've seen from other high-end GeForce cards from Nvidia's range of partners.
