Overclocking

The Maxwell architecture has a propensity to overclock to a boost speed of about 1,500MHz core without troubling the voltage. We see the same with the Gigabyte card, spooling up to 1,490MHz core and 7,652MHz under boost conditions. Though sounding great in isolation, the final frequencies aren't that far removed from the reference card.

In-game performance rises by just under seven per cent. A handy little boost for two minutes' work with an overclocking utility.
