1080p - Crysis 3

Homepage: crysis.com/crysis-3 | Publisher: Electronic Arts | Developer: Crytek

Crysis 3 is a beautiful-looking game that continues to tax high-end systems. We've benchmarked a 60-second section near the start of the game, with lashing rain, numerous reflections and full DX11 pomp on show.

Yer but, can it run Crysis 3? Can it, huh? No GPU can be described as providing silky-smooth performance. Here, with texturing also important, the GTX 980's lead is diminished.

Ouch, only a handful of frames are rendered within 17ms. This makes sense as the average framerate is only 52fps on the GTX 980.

And an inability to render lots of fast frames is usually linked indirectly to slow frames. The GTX 980 remains top dog, but 24.7ms at the 99th barrier isn't great. The GM210 can't come soon enough for this title.
