Inno3D GeForce 7900 GS Zalman Edition 256MiB Bundle & Warranty

This SKU ship in full retail form but we've found it difficult to source stock in the U.K.

Other than the card, Inno3D bundles it with a quickstart guide and a CD containing the drivers and electronic manual. A tie-in with InterVideo sees a 2-channel version of WinDVD 5 and WinDVD Creator 2.0 included. Hardware-wise, there's the usual 6-pin PCIe-to-molex adapter, S-Video-to-composite cable, a single DVI dongle, HDTV-Out (component) cable.

Warranty

The warranty is often the differentiating factor between cards from different AIBs. A decent warranty, in our opinion, is worth considerable merit and adds to the resale value of the card.

Inno3D's GeForce 7900 GS 256MiB Zalman edition is backed up by a 2-year warranty that's becoming standard for the industry. Inno3D has a deal in place with its distributors only, so warranty claims, during the two year period, need to be pursued with the reseller you bought from, so only buy from folks you trust.

Overall summary

Inno3D's 7900 GS is clocked in at reference speeds but includes an all-aluminium cooler and memory heatsinks that keep the GPU and RAM ticking along at decent temperatures. The bundle is reasonable but the warranty could be a sticking point if the reseller goes out of business during the timeframe the warranty is valid.

We've yet to find this particular SKU in stock but a reference version, without the Zalman cooler and memory heatsinks, retails for around Ā£120.
