Providing an excellent mix of strategy and action, Total War: Rome II's epic turn-based gameplay can swallow hours of your life.
A driver update is probably enough to account for the Vapor-X being the quickest of the R9 290X bunch, but either way, there's not a lot to separate the factory-overclocked cards. They're all blisteringly quick.
