We use Far Cry 3 as our power-consumption title. We know that performance jumps by almost 10 per cent when using the WindForce so it's no surprise to see power draw increase a touch, too.

Nvidia's reference cooler is elegant and striking. It is no match for the beefier WindForce 3X 600W, though.

Gigabyte's engineering talent is in indirect evidence here. The WindForce is both better and quieter than the reference model. Impressive stuff.
