Power, Temperature and Noise
As is the case with most factory-overclocked graphics cards, the extra performance comes at the expense of heightened power consumption under load.
Custom cooling has obvious benefits. Palit's triple-fan design has absolutely no problem keeping well within Nvidia's 80ºC temperature target.
Noise is a bit of a mixed bag, though. During use, we found that Palit's fans weren't actually too vocal, and instead it was audible coil whine that was causing our sound meter to register a slightly higher-than-expected reading. We're hoping this is limited to our review sample, but it's worth listening out for if you do happen to purchase this particular model.
