Making a really good case for game of the year already, BioShock is fantastically playable and looks great on the PC. We benchmark a 30-second section near the start.

Remember how we said the R9 270 would be up to 10 per cent slower than the 'X' model? The first in-game proof comes via BioShock Infinite, with the Sapphire card putting up a reasonably good showing at 1080p.

We can also compare the per-second framerates of the Sapphire and EVGA cards at 1080p. The near-identical average framerates belie the fact that AMD retains slightly smoother performance. We'd be happy to game on either card at the ultra-quality settings used in the benchmark.
