Making a really good case for game of the year already, BioShock is fantastically playable and looks great on the PC. We benchmark a 30-second section near the start.
It's pretty much a tie in BioShock Infinite, with Nvidia's best leading at the lower resolution and AMD's finest eking out an advantage at 2,560x1,440. R9 290X is about 10 per cent faster than the more expensive GTX 780, however.
We can also compare the per-second performance and see how the two premier cards, irrespective of price, stack up against one another. AMD provides very smooth performance throughout the test; Nvidia's is a little more hit and miss.
