Power consumption

Putting in a discrete card, no matter how efficient, means that the system needs a little more juice to function... even when it's not processing anything of note. But we doubt anyone's going to complain when the at-mains power is less than 50W.

DiRT Showdown places more CPU load than most games, leading to an overall system-wide power-draw of 119W for the Sapphire card.

Noise and temps

Though not as important for budget cards, the Sapphire HD 7730's GPU temperature tops out at just 54°C when playing DiRT Showdown. The single 75mm remains unobtrusive at all times - the system's practically silent when running at full load, with merely a 4dB difference between idle and load states.
