We managed to increase the core from 1,075MHz to 1,200MHz easily enough and also boosted the memory by an effective 432MHz. Here's how a 1,200/6,832MHz-clocked HD 7790 stacks up in Far Cry 3.

There's no getting around the fact that, in this title, an overclocked HD 7790 is no match for a stock HD 7850. It's all about memory bandwidth and back-end power in Far Cry 3, which is a theme also present in other newer games such as Crysis 3.
