Power, Temperature and Noise

PowerColor's Devil 13 isn't lacking in power, but then it uses a fair amount too. Extreme solutions such as this are always going to make a dent in the leccy bill, but system-wide power consumption under load is the wrong side of 400 Watts.

Eating up plenty of power tends to produce a lot of heat, but PowerColor's card does an excellent job of drawing it away from the GPUs. Keeping core temperature at around 70ºC under load is exceptional for a card as quick as this, but be aware that these readings may not be indicative of the final retail product. Remember, we're using an in-house-fixed cooler with our own thermal paste.

There's a good explanation for the excellent temperature readings; PowerColor's fans are very aggressive. The card isn't the quietest when it's idling and it can get noticeably loud under load.
