DiRT Showdown may be lacking the realism of previous games in the DiRT series, but it offers stunning graphics, intense action and good ol' demolition derby events.

Whoa, Marie, what's going on here? We benchmark the game with 'Ultra' quality settings, which includes the GPU-busting Global Illumination (GI) feature. AMD cards obliterate the comparison NVIDIA GPUs. Turning off the GI increases both sets of cards' performance by the same margin, we note.

Though GeForce GTX 600-series cards receive a solid spanking in this test, it appears as if the game isn't overly reliant on memory bandwidth; the KFA² card benchmarks faster than a bog-standard GTX 670.
