The standalone Aliens vs. Predator benchmark uses DX11 features such as hardware tessellation and advanced shadow sampling to draw and animate everyone's favourite xenomorph.

AMD can bank on Aliens vs. Predator, a good-looking game, being faster on its hardware. HD 7970 GHz Edition serves to increase the lead over the GeForce by whopping 30 per cent at the highest-resolution test. As we've mentioned countless times before, having a 30 per cent lead is neither here nor there when the baseline performance is 120fps; it matters a heck of a lot more when the uptick occurs in the 30-40fps region. A clear win for AMD here.
