Benchmarks - Battlefield 3

Review: HEXUS.net/qa7yc | Where2buy: amazon.co.uk

Battlefield 3 is one of the most popular PC games of the year and features breathtaking visuals and an absorbing multiplayer component.

Framebuffer limitations are certainly in evidence when running Battlefield 3 at Ultra quality settings and an insane 2,560x1.600 resolution. Performance barely improves with the addition of a second card - it's awfully choppy at this resolution - yet knock it down to a full-HD (1,920x1,080) resolution and CrossFireX does its job well. Heck, the MSI duo almost beats a Radeon HD 7970.

Examining the framerates for the two HD 7770s at the 1,920x1,080 resolution shows that performance is smooth and stutter-free, much akin to a quality single-card's.
