Praised both by critics and gamers, the latest installment of the Total War series takes strategy enthusiasts back to 16th-century Japan and presents a lavish blend of 3D real-time battles and turn-based management.

Total War: Shogun 2 is another new addition to our benchmark suite and it's a game we're growing increasingly fond of.

Once again, the GTX 560 Ti 448 delivers decent 1080p performance, but the difference between this new breed and the standard GTX 560 Ti becomes most evident at 1600p. At the ultra-high resolution, the benchmark simply refuses to run on a standard GTX 560 Ti or an AMD Radeon HD 6870 - these cards just aren't deemed tough enough.
