Large-diameter fans of the ROG MARS II keep the noise down to a bare minimum when idling (700rpm) and, while not quiet, aren't too distracting under load. As mentioned on the first page, they make more of an onomatopoeic whooshing sound.
Manually turning them to maximum via a press of the red button ratchets up the noise level to 50.1dB.
