The bundle

Making sure there's a little extra in every department, Sapphire's Radeon HD 5970 TOXIC 4GB bundle could be more generous than most. We say could as this is a pre-release sample, and Sapphire's final bundle remains subject to change.

Two high-profile games - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Colin McRae DiRT 2 - look set to be bundled as standard, and there's an array of adapters; including DVI to HDMI, DVI to VGA, mini-DisplayPort to DisplayPort and a CrossFire bridge. We've been told, however, that the Sapphire Active DisplayPort adapter, pictured above, won't be included in the bundle - it's an optional extra that fetches around £80 at retail. Considering the cost of the overall package, we'd like to see it bundled as standard.

UK pricing remains speculative at the best of times, but using a straightforward dollar-to-pound conversion, Sapphire's card would be priced in the region of £750 including VAT.

The package is backed up by Sapphire's standard two-year warranty. Claims in the first year are handled by the supplier from whom the card was purchased from. Claims after this period are handled by a U.K.-based service centre.
