Eager to see if your PC is ready for the demands of a virtual reality headset? VRMark could be the benchmark you need. Offering two virtual reality tests and with no headset required, this free-to-download utility is a useful method of gauging your system's VR readiness.

VRMark is a recent addition to our suite. According to developer Futuremark, the Orange Room test mimics the demands of popular VR solutions such as the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Blue Room, on the other hand, is a higher-resolution, more demanding test that gauges suitability for next-generation VR headsets. A score of 5,000 is required to pass either benchmark, and we're told that as of October 2016, no publicly available system had managed to pass the Blue Room test.

The card is a solid interpretation of the GTX 1060 6GB 9Gbps model, though, of course, stepping it up to the GTX 1070, which isn't much more expensive, gives you whole new level of performance.
