Conclusion

...the RX 480 Dual OC serves as welcome respite for gamers who have been priced out of the high-end landscape.

The AMD Radeon RX 400-series range of GPUs won't go down as a truly memorable addition the world of PC gaming, yet even at this late stage, there are potential diamonds in the rough.

One example is the Asus Radeon RX 480 Dual OC 4GB, a potent mid-range offering that delivers solid FHD or QHD gameplay in a dual-slot form factor that matches a selection of similarly styled motherboards.

What makes the Asus card stand out is a revised £165 price tag, and after months of price increases and a devalued pound, the RX 480 Dual OC serves as welcome respite for gamers who have been priced out of the high-end landscape.

There's room for improvement - noise levels in particular are frustrating - but it's rare to find this level of performance, with 4GB of memory and multi-GPU support, at such an agreeable price point. For these reasons alone, the RX 480 is once again worthy of consideration.

The 8gb is £182 on aria.co.uk

Great deal but I don't see it to be as good as it seems since I paid £200 for a 290x from aria 2 years ago

The pound was 20% stronger back then.
4GB doesn't cut it these days. You can't even have the full graphical experience on a simple game like Rainbow 6 siege without having 8GB VRAM
Asus? Value? I'm confused

8GB of VRAM will make no difference at 1080p and realistically that's the resolution these cards are for.
