Benchmarks: Gaming
Benchmarked at 1,280x720 and 1,920x1,080, AMD's IGP is about twice the speed of Intel's. Neither produce what we'd call smooth gameplay at 1080p, mind.
AMD continues to ride roughshod over Intel's HD 4600 in the two subsequent gaming tests. We're using high- and medium-quality settings, respectively, and performance at 1080p is just about acceptable on AMD's R7 graphics.
We also installed an Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 Ti card and ran the three games at the same settings but solely at a 1080p resolution; it returned average framerates of 71.2fps, 123.2fps and 105.5fps, respectively, underscoring that a £110 discrete card runs the proverbial rings around even the best integrated graphics.
