CPU performance

We first wondered why the A8-5600K and A10-5800K results were so close in CINEBENCH. After running the test numerous times and evaluating the exact speed of the CPU cores while rendering, it appears that the A8-5600K remains at its maximum Turbo Core clock, 3.9GHz, more of the time than A10-5800K does.

The rest of the CPU-centric numbers illustrate that A8-5600K's numbers are within five per cent of those exhibited by the fastest APU.

Looking at the numbers again shows that A8-5600K is about as fast, on average, as the best of the last generation, known as A8-3870K.

AMD APUs' CPU performance is certainly no match for the best that Intel has to offer, but we believe that it's good enough for the everyday tasks people subject a sub-£500 PC to.
